Why Cleanups Matter
Preventing Harm
Cleanups educate about trash left in neighborhoods, parks, streets, and sidewalks and how it can eventually reach storm drains, creeks, streams, rivers, and the ocean.
Direct Action
Cleanups help remove trash before it causes more harm. They also help people see how their everyday actions can affect local waterways.
Community Impact
By attending a cleanup, Girl Scouts can better understand the needs of their local community and how to best protect it.
